InfoCamp is a hybrid unconference that blends the egalitarian, community-driven basis of barcamps and other unconferences with some more conventional conference structures. Students, professionals, entrepreneurs and hobbyists from the user-centered information community are all encouraged to come together to join in the conversation, adding to the community of ideas and building connections to people who share a similar passion for information and how to best utilize and design information for the people who use it. InfoCamp is fueled by the serendipity that happens when connecting open, like-minded people with new ideas.

The bulk of the content and presentations are given by the attendees. These presentations and the exact schedule will be decided the day of InfoCamp, but we will provide opportunities to give previews of presentations and engage in pre- and post-conference conversations through the InfoCamp Seattle 2008 wiki, blogs, and other social media venues. A short keynote presentation will anchor both days’ discussion as we leap into multiple tracks of presentations, panels, product demos and roundtables.

So please join us for a stimulating weekend, chock full of exchanging ideas and hardcore networking with copious amounts of coffee and a bit of grub to keep the energy level high, centered around all aspects of the information disciplines.
